There is no contact form on this site, deliberately. A form needs a server to receive it, and this site does not have one — it is a set of static pages with no database and nothing collecting what you type. Email keeps it that way, and it means your message goes straight to a person rather than into a queue.

What to expect

This is run by one person alongside other work, so a reply usually takes a few days rather than a few hours. Everything gets read. Not everything gets a long answer, and factual corrections are dealt with first, because they affect everyone reading the page.

What is genuinely worth emailing about

• A figure, deadline or address on this site that is wrong or out of date — please include the page and, if you have it, the official source that contradicts it.
• A broken link, or an official source that has moved.
• A letter type that keeps confusing people and is not covered here yet.
• Something written on a page that reads as unclear, alarming or misleading. That is a bug as much as a wrong number is.

What this site cannot do

It cannot advise you on your own case, review your letter, write your challenge, or contact an authority for you. That is not modesty about capacity — it is that doing so would be giving legal advice, which this site does not do and is not qualified to do. Please do not send documents, reference numbers, or personal details; if you do, they cannot be acted on.

For help with a specific situation, the better routes are the issuing authority named on your letter, which has your reference and your file; Citizens Advice, which is free and independent; or a qualified solicitor or adviser where the amount involved justifies it. Every page on this site links the official source for the letter it covers, and that source is the authority on your case rather than anything written here.

What happens to your email

Your message and address sit in an ordinary mailbox and are used only to reply to you and, where relevant, to correct the site. They are not added to a mailing list, not passed to anyone else, and not used for anything else. There is no newsletter to be added to. See the privacy policy for the detail.

There is no postal address for this site and no telephone number. Email is the whole of it.
